Breaking: Penguins Round 2 Playoff Schedule, Game 1 Announced

The NHL (finally) announced late Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals will begin their Round 2 series Thursday at the Capital One Center in Washington D.C at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network.

The NHL will announce the remainder of the schedule after the Boston Bruins-Toronto Maple Leafs conclude their Round 1 series, tomorrow night.

This is the third straight year the Penguins will begin Round 2 on the road against the Capitals. The Penguins held a 3-1 after four games last season but were pushed to Game 7 by the Capitals. The Penguins shut out the Capitals 2-0, including 29 saves by Marc-Andre Fleury, to advance to the Eastern Conference Final. The Penguins have won nine of the 10 playoff series between the teams.
