This evening, the Penguins and GM Jim Rutherford announced that they have re-assigned eight players ahead of tonight’s preseason game versus the Detroit Red Wings at Consol Arena.

Today’s cuts include forwards Tom Kostopoulos, Ryan Haggerty, Reid Gardiner, Gage Quinney; defensemen Dylan Zink and Jeff Taylor; and goaltender Sean Maguire who were re-assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Forward Jordy Bellerive, who tallied a hat trick during the Pens Prospect tournament in Buffalo, was been returned to his junior club, the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League.
