5-Minute Penguins Postgame: Bad Loss, Growing Problems

TAMPA, Fla — The Pittsburgh Penguins problems are many and they are not small.

The team lost its third straight (0-2-1), losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 at Amalie Arena. Jake Guentzel scored a last-minute goal for the Penguins, or the final score would been even more lopsided.

The power play was 0-for-4 and have not converted the last 34 chances, dating back to Nov. 11.

Following up coach Mike Sullivan’s direction to shoot more, the Penguins had just four shots in the first period. It was an ugly night for coach Mike Sullivan and the Penguins, who fell to .500 with the loss.

From Tampa, Dan Kingerski breaks down the game and the locker room scene.
