Penguins Notebook
Backchecking the Penguins: October 7th
Line combinations for todays practice. Bryan Rust moves to the first line. Conor Sheary moves the third line. Wilson off the fourth line, moving to the third line. Its a minor shift to almost all of the wingers. No change to the centers. Ian Cole and Justin Schultz are back together. For everyone still watching the ongoing third line situation, Greg McKegg is still centering it. One of the most important numbers for Greg McKegg’s is his face-off percentage. Greg McKegg has an impressive 60% average, for the first two games. No word yet on who will be starting in goal tonight.

#Preds center Nick Bonino is excited for an early chance to take out the #Pens. https://t.co/PTG47eP3FI

Two notable payers in the Predators line up tonight. Nick Bonino as you may recall was part of the famous “HBK” line. He was a fan favorite, and then there is the villainous Scott Hartnell. Scott Hartnell has long been public enemy number one in Pittsburgh.
Juuse Saros starts tonight for Nashville. Makes sense since Pekka Rinne is 0-6 with a .822 SV% lifetime in Pittsburgh, including playoffs.
