Backchecking the Penguins: September 30th
The Penguins are playing the Blue Jackets today. This is the last preseason game! Both teams have been trimming down there rosters, to what will be there regular season starters. Scott Wilson has moved up and down the lines on the left wing. Greg McKegg is still fighting for a roster spot. Both will certainly be getting good looks by coach Sullivan. Matt Murray will be in net.
In Coach John Tortorella’s interview form yesterday he talks about todays game.
-Pittsburgher Brandon Saad (CBJ) was traded for Artemi Panarin (CHI). Artemi Panarin produced 31 goals last with the Black Hawks last season. Clearly the Blue Jackets are hoping that the winger can produce similar numbers on there top line this season.
-Coach John Tororella confirms that Brandon Dubinsky will make his preseason debut against the Penguins.
“They practiced well. They were loose. They played with pace.”
