Dan’s Daily: Julien Chest Pains, Penguins Offseason Begins

The head coach of the Montreal Canadiens will miss the rest of Round One after he was rushed to the hospital with chest pains. The Pittsburgh Penguins offseason has begun and as usual, there is drama. A former Penguins defenseman scored a game-winner with 40 seconds remaining and there is a battle brewing between Carolina and Boston.

I think the early reactionary wailing about the Penguins not spending to the cap is knee slapping funny. First this is a team with a rich history of financial failure. After all how many teams in the MLB, NFL and NBA have been in bankruptcy twice and had their doors padlocked by the Feds. I can assure Burkle is never going to watch a third instance.
