It’s a Hockey Day! How to Find Penguins Players on Social Media
The Pittsburgh Penguins begin Phase 2 of the NHL return on Tuesday. Since the prying eyes of the media cannot be in attendance, we’ll have to follow social media to get inside looks.
And don’t think our Dan Kingerski hasn’t priced a janitor’s uniform to get a peak.
For the unfamiliar, NHL Phase 2 allows for small group works (off and on-ice) in groups of six or less. Per the recent NHL memo, players must remain with the same group of six players throughout Phase 2. Players must social distance in the locker room, and their temperatures must be taken within two hours of arrival at the facility.
Teams must also test players for COVID-19 no less than twice per week. One, yet unnamed Pittsburgh Penguins player tested positive for COVID-19, but the team reported the player was feeling well.
PHN will be devotedly watching for news and attempting to dig up some stories from additional sources on the opening of Phase 2. In case you’re wondering, we don’t believe Sidney Crosby has social media accounts. The Penguins superstar admitted he once made a burner account to see what people were saying about him but quickly shut it down — for obvious reasons.
We don’t expect any earth-shattering revelations via the Penguins player’s social media accounts; hopefully, a few guys will post pictures or share their experiences. It’s a brave new world, and hopefully, we will have hockey this summer.
