‘Drag Us Into the Fight,’ Jason Zucker Full of Energy … and Mouth (+)
So, this is the Jason Zucker that former Pittsburgh Penguins GM Jim Rutherford chased for almost a year before finally getting the LW on Feb. 10, 2020. Zucker brings energy, intense puck pressure, a bit of grit, now a fair amount of points, and apparently a lot of mouth, too.
On Tuesday night, he stood barefoot in front of his locker stall. There was a shortage of Pittsburgh Penguins to chat with the media, and Zucker made a late appearance. Zucker had not yet stopped yapping, chirping, mocking, teasing, and trash-talking after the Penguins’ 3-2 win over intense rival the New York Rangers.
Zucker began by poking fun at the Penguins’ PR staff for not protecting him from the media.
He continued by chirping teammate Bryan Rust for attempting to charge at New York defenseman Ryan Lindgren.
