‘It Sucks Sometimes…,’ Kasperi Kapanen, Chances and Struggles (+)

That is hockey, and it has been that type of season for Kasperi Kapanen. Struggles and chances. Ups but more downs. And a wonder if the tailspin will end.

Kapanen has two points in his last three games, which is his best output since the first couple weeks of 2022. It has been an agonizing slump and challenge to play good hockey. As the PHN shift diary in late February showed, Kapanen was not playing good hockey.

When chances aren’t going, they can dry up. The negative can pile up, though Kapanen emerged on Sunday upbeat. It wasn’t the dreary Kapanen we talked to a few weeks ago.
