Matt’s Net-Front Presence: Brian Burke Has Already Gotten One Thing Exactly Right

How will he handle the relationship with new general manager Ron Hextall? Is he looking to add more truculence to the roster at any cost? Has he changed in his handful of years away from running an NHL team?

I have my concerns, but I also appreciate the one very important aspect of the job Burke appears to grasp completely … as I explain here in my Net-Front Presence:

Wouldn’t mind saying goodbye to Malkin and Letang. They both hold onto the puck too long and turn it over. Their play seems to be out of sync with Sullivan’s system. The return in a trade should keep Crosby and Pens a contender for Stanley Cups.
