While the NBA is ready to go for a pre-Christmas tipoff, the NHL and its players are again at each other’s throats, this time over COVID-19 financial concessions.

As I lay out in my Net-Front Presence, perpetual labor battles seem to be the NHL’s long-term fate, considering their middle-class status in the realm of pro sports.

While the circumstances may change, the only constant is that fans have to sweat the brinksmanship … and wonder when they might see the NHL back on the ice again.
