If there was a perfect fit for Phil Kessel, he probably found it. The Vegas Golden Knights dropped a one-year bargain contract on the mercurial winger with a taste for poker. It’s big-time NHL news when deputy commissioner Bill Daly said he expects the salary cap to go up next summer–by a lot. The Fanatics leak may have revealed the new Pittsburgh Penguins retro jersey. Vegas must have a great plan to shed the $7M+ they need to get cap compliant and still fill out their roster. Will be interesting to watch.

Except Charlie Simmer never wore the white skates. He joined the Seals in 74-75 when Charlie Finley no longer owned the team and the colors were changed from green to teal.
