The Buffalo Sabres are ground zero for the Daily this weekend. Rookie Dylan Cozens missed a week after Pittsburgh Penguins winger Zach Aston-Reese caught Cozens with a questionable hit last week. Jack Eichel trade talk is bubbling again, so what would the NHL trade market look like? And the Penguins updated Evgeni Malkin’s status.



Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Penguins performance on Thursday night showed a glaring flaw, and an S.O.S. to GM Ron Hextall to hit the NHL trade market. 

After practice on Friday, head coach Mike Sullivan said Malkin was out week-to-week, and Jared McCann is ready to return. 

Buffalo News: “Unneccessary and dangerous.” Dylan Cozens will return to the Buffalo Sabres lineup this weekend. He still isn’t happy with Zach Aston-Reese’s hit last weekend.
