Published

NHL trade, PIttsburgh Penguins, Ron Hextall

From accidentally killing a live mascot to hiring coaches who didn’t speak English, Dave Molinari had some fun with Pittsburgh Penguins mistakes … including the Robo-pigeon logo likely coming this season. Mike Babcock is done coaching. You may want to cool talk about Patrick Kane on the NHL trade block, at least for a few months. Tom Wilson got married, and Philadelphia Flyers fans are still sour over their divorce with Ron Hextall after yet another the Flyers first-rounders crapped out.

Greetings from northern PA and southern NY. I planned to hole up in Olean, NY, for the first time, but one lap around town…I kept going. I took a lot of “nature” photos. No, I’m not an artistic photographer, but occasionally stopping while taking long road trips on two wheels does help the bum not hurt as much.

Good choice not staying in Olean… I went to high school in nearby Allegany and almost wound up at Saint Bonaventure University, altho Allegany is a nice little down I certainly can’t blame you for not staying. That being said, you should ride over the mountain to the town of Ellicotville. I think you would like that town

Better players drafted later is a pretty superficial way to evaluate drafting ability. You can play the odds and still have an unfortunate card turn up. The question is whether GMRH has biases or blind spots. Does he have some bias? Were his evaluations out of line with others? There is also the question of development. Was the issue drafting or training? Was there something with Philly that led to so many injuries?
