The Tampa Bay Lightning cannot be stopped. Not hell, highwater or the passionate wishes of the most passionate fanbase in the NHL can stop them. The NHL trade rumors surrounding Duncan Keith point to Edmonton, but maybe Seattle. Toronto Maple Leafs rumors are all over the map, and we examine how the Seattle Kraken could affect for better or worse the Pittsburgh Penguins trade hopes and roster.

How did Montreal beat Vegas so easily??

How did Vegas beat Colorado so easily??

This Stanley Cup Final is playing out pretty much how we expected it. Though, I must give credit to Montreal for opening their game and getting after Tampa Bay. It’s like a cub trying to wrestle the momma bear, but they’re trying.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: How could the Seattle Kraken affect the Pittsburgh Penguins trade plans, roster and salary cap? Using the Viktor Arvidsson deal, perhaps there is a window of opportunity for the Penguins.

I think the Penguins and GM Ron Hextall will play it straight, but Door #2 is open.

NHL Playoffs

Sportsnet: Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Montreal Canadiens in Game 3, 6-3. The Lightning were just too much.

Montreal Gazette: For hometown flavor here’s the Montreal story, too.

NHL Trade Chatter, National Hockey Now network

Toronto Sun: The Toronto Maple Leafs trade rumors and talk is all over the map. One outlet puts the big names in play. Another outlet made a wishlist. The NHL trade market could boil in Toronto.

TSN: Daren Dreger narrowed Duncan Keith suitors to the Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken.

Edmonton Journal: The Edmonton Oilers are the front runners for Keith.

NYI: Our boys in New York took a swing at helping Lou Lamoriello. Here’s how Lou can keep the Islanders core intact for next season.

Washington: What will Alex Ovechkin’s deal with the Washington Capitals look like? What about Kuznetsov’s future? Sammi Silber takes a swing at both pressing Capitals issues.

Detroit: Weird Red Wings history–Bob Duff knows more Red Wings history than most, maybe anyone. He dug up the final photo of the 1931 Detroit Falcons, at a train station in Montreal–the final photo before the boys became the Red Wings.

San Jose: Will Brent Burns finish his career, or even his current contract with the San Jose Sharks?

Vegas: Golden Knights owner, and a bit of a wild card, William Foley has formed “Foley Entertainment Group LLC”
