Pittsburgh Hockey Now was the first to confirm the Penguins “expect” to deal Brassard and the first to confirm the Dallas Stars have made contact with the Penguins regarding the center.

Based on reports, the Penguins could seek a center as part of the return for Brassard. Dan also looks at the potential centers from each team, including two from Dallas which could come back to the Penguins as part of a deal.

In addition to Dallas, reporters have confirmed the Penguins division rival Columbus Blue Jackets have called. Past suitors have included the Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets, but there have been mixed signals regarding continued interest from those teams.
