Place your bets. The Pittsburgh Penguins are no longer the darlings of the gambling world. Neither Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin are among the favorites to win NHL individual awards this season, according to Futures betting.

Interestingly, Matt Murray and Marc-Andre Fleury are each an 18-1 shot to win the Vezina trophy. Go figure. Sergei Bobrovsky (4.5-1), Andrei Vasilevskiy (5-1) and Connor Hellebuyck (5-1) are the favorites. Whitehall’s John Gibson of the Anaheim Ducks is an 8-1 pick.

For those betting on the Rocket Richard goal-scoring trophy, Crosby is a 15-1 bet while Malkin, who scored 43 goals and trailed winner Alex Ovechkin by only six tallies, is a 22-1 bet. Maybe Bovado doesn’t like the Malkin-Kessel pairing either?

Washington’s Ovechkin is the favorite (5.5-1), Winnipeg Jet Patrik Laine is 7.5-1, and Connor McDavid is 8.5-1. If you’re a Maple Leafs fan, John Tavares is a 30-1 pick.

Bovado is more bullish on the Crosby-Jake Guentzel combination than the Malkin-Kessel pair. Crosby is just an 8.5-1 bet to win the Art Ross despite scoring “only” 89 points last year. Malkin, who scored 98 points last year, is a 15-1 wager.

Crosby is actually the second favorite to win the Art Ross. McDavid is the heavy favorite at 2.4-1. Nikita Kucherov, who cracked 100 points (39g, 61a) is 11-1 and Mark Scheifele is a 14-1 bet.

Kris Letang is not listed for Norris Trophy consideration, nor are any Penguins rookies on the board for the Calder Trophy. Actually, there may not any Penguins rookies in the lineup if Zach Aston-Reese isn’t on the ice.

And, just in case you’re curious, the Penguins are still 1.8-1 favorites to win the Metro Division, 5.5-1 favorites to win the Eastern Conference and a 12-1 shot to win the Stanley Cup. The Penguins over/under is 102.5 points.

Of course, all information is presented for entertainment purposes until local and state governments decide they need more money and allow Pennsylvania residents to wager their money in Pennsylvania licensed casinos right beside chain smoking grandmas cursing at the slot machines, and that one weird guy with black socks and a fanny pack.
