Pittsburgh Penguins game, New York Islanders

The Pittsburgh Penguins (28-31-10) remain a hopeless longshot to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but they’re clinging to their .02% chance and looking for their fifth win in a row as the host the New York Islanders (30-28-8) Tuesday at PPG Paints Arena.

The puck drops just after 7:00 p.m.

The Penguins have been riding the red-hot pads of Tristan Jarry, who has bailed out the porous defense and carried the team to the last four wins. The Penguins are also getting depth scoring from their new third line centered by Blake Lizotte with newly acquired Connor Dewar and Noel Acciari.

Jarry will start in goal Tuesday.

The Islanders are also clinging to longshot playoff odds, but have lost three of their last four games. However, they are riding the emotional of an explosive four-goal third period and 4-2 win over the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.

Expect Ilya Sorokin to start for the Islanders.

**Update: The Penguins made Joona Kopanen an emergency recall. He will play Tuesday.
