PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins (10-9-5) split their two-game road trip as they rallied to beat Winnipeg but their rally fizzled against Colorado. The Penguins host the Philadelphia Flyers (10-12-2), who have not won a Stanley Cup in 42 years, Saturday at PPG Paints Arena.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby had a natural hat trick in Colorado, Wednesday (11, 12, 13), but the Penguins could not sustain their rally and lost 6-3. Crosby was the Penguins only goal scorer.

Backup goalie Tristan Jarry made only 20 saves on 25 shots.

Casey DeSmith will start against the Flyers, Saturday. Tuesday, DeSmith made 24 saves on 27 shots as the Penguins fourth line scored two goals in the third period for a 4-3 win in Winnipeg.

Penguins winger Patric Hornqvist appears ready to return to the lineup, Saturday.

The Flyers lost Tuesday at home to Ottawa, 4-3. Ottawa scored three third-period goals.
