Penguins Postgame: Course Correction, What Pens Did Right in Win over Flyers

Published

on

Despite sloppy play later in the second period, the Pittsburgh Penguins quickly course-corrected and put away the Philadelphia Flyers in the third period. The Penguins eventually cruised to a 6-2 win at the Wells Fargo Center.

Bryan Rust scored two goals, again. It was his third straight multi-goal game. Jake Guentzel also scored two goals, and Evan Rodrigues continued his hot streak with a marker.

Goalie Tristan Jarry got props, too.

Hosted by PHN Editor-in-Chief Dan Kingerski, the informal postgame chat from the home office is always wide-ranging and fun. In addition to the obvious choices, Dan also circled a few of the grinders for praise, including Brian Boyle, who scored the Penguins sixth goal with a shorthanded wrist shot.

Viewers also wanted to talk about Penguins contracts and if the Penguins can re-sign all of Evgeni Malkin, Bryan Rust, Kris Letang, and Evan Rodrigues.

The praise and the criticism of a postgame chat. Enjoy.
