PHN Extra: How Does Jack Johnson Fit On Penguins Blue Line?

Not only did new Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Jack Johnson sign a five-year $16.25 million contract with the Penguins Sunday, but he and General Manager Jim Rutherford both also managed to wrinkle the shorts of the Columbus Blue Jackets organization. Though what really matters, beyond the entertaining comments circus, is how Johnson fits with the Penguins.

Johnson’s inclusion into the Penguins lineup means the Penguins will likely have three defensive pairings which cost over $7 million.
