PHN Extra: Ivy Leaguers and 2nd Generations Thriving At Development Camp
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Of all the prospects and hopefuls at the Pittsburgh Penguins development camp this week at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, there are two subsets of players who stand out.
All are undrafted players participating on a tryout basis, but so are a lot of others. These players have one of two attributes – either they are from Ivy League schools, or they are the sons of NHL coaches, players or executives. They all believe those connections give them at least some sort of edge.
