CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Kris Letang and his merry gang of Pittsburgh Penguins power play specialists are thieves. That’s right. Not only do they have one of the most impressive arrays of personnel for man-advantage situations, but they also are watching everyone else, ready to steal ideas.
And Letang readily admits it.
“You look at different teams,” Letang said Friday. “You look at how they get success and maybe you try to take one of their ideas and mix it into your bag of tools.”
In reality, teams routinely pick up everything from pointers to schemes from other teams across lots of sports all the time. That’s why you see trends.
