The Pittsburgh Penguins have not made news in weeks, but Tuesday was Sidney Crosby day. His Aug. 7 birthday is becoming a day of celebration in the Penguins fanbase to commemorate Crosby and his numerology (8/7/87). Pittsburgh Hockey Now followed Crosby day with a look at Evgeni Malkin’s career, why legitimate Penguins trade talk died down before the market cooled and how to get game worn Penguins equipment.

A look at Sidney Crosby’s top five moments, here.

Shelly Anderson shared the story of Crosby’s first moments in Pittsburgh.

Evgeni Malkin turned 32 on July 31, but it isn’t the same holiday in Pittsburgh. PHN balanced the scale with a look at Malkin’s accomplishments. The list is more impressive than most realize.

The Carolina Hurricanes dealt Jeff Skinner to Buffalo for picks and a prospect. In fact, the entire tone of the Penguins offseason changed as time passed from the Penguins loss to the Capitals. Time and space may have helped the Penguins.

And Dan Kingerski looked the terrible offseason in the Metro Division. The field has been cleared for Round 4, Penguins v. Capitals.Â
