PHN Penguins Postgame Show

Pittsburgh Penguins fans can join former Penguins reporter Matt Gajtka on Monday for a live postgame show on the National Hockey Now YouTube and Facebook channels following the Penguins vs. Montreal Canadiens game at Centre Bell.

The Penguins raced to a 2-0 lead in the first period behind goals by Lars Eller and Rickard Rakell but trailed 3-2 later in the second period after sloppy defensive miscues and mistakes delivered Grade-A chances to Montreal.

Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry stopped 16 of the first 19 shots he faced but also lost sight of the puck on the play, which led to the first Canadiens goal.

Penguins’ coach Mike Sullivan also made a pair of lineup changes, scratching Rutger McGroarty and Jack St. Ivany for Jesse Puljujarvi and Ryan Shea. Puljujarvi set up Eller’s first goal.

Eller tied the game 3-3 later in the second period. Kevin Hayes and Kris Letang scored in the third period for a 5-3 lead. Join Gajtka for the live free-for-all on PHN. After this game, there should be plenty to talk about.
