The Penguins didn’t have much in terms of offense in the opening game of the Patrick Allvin era, falling 4-1 in Boston to remain winless on the road.

Dan Kingerski joined me for Episode 4 of our Pens postgame show, as we discussed the team’s continued knack for falling behind, the lack of production from the top six, a promotion for P.O. Joseph and what needs to change for the back end of this road trip.

As the popular saying goes number 71 needs a change of scenery. That would benefit both malkin and the Penguins immensely.

Amen to that. They should have moved him last year. With the recent Rutherford resignation, one can only speculate that management would not let GMJR do his job. I think he wanted to go after Patrick Laine, AND WINNIPEG WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT DANCE PARTNER.. It was what I believe a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY, as salaries should not have been an issue. The Pens said they wanted to get younger and faster, which they definitely would have accomplished, but I believe someone in upper management balked at the idea. I must assert that there was absolutely no chatter about the Penguins even considering Malkin. And everyone involved has not just denied but fully dismissed those conspiracy theories. They’re absolutely not true.
