PHN Video: Penguins Trade Deadline and Reaction
LAS VEGAS — The opinions were nearly uniform even as the level of emotion or confusion varied.
The Pittsburgh Penguins’ trade deadline activity vamoosed several lineup regulars while general manager Kyle Dubas stockpiled draft picks, but the team avoided the big moves many expected.
Even pending free agent defenseman Matt Grzelcyk remains with the team, while Dubas traded Michael Bunting on Wednesday and (recently acquired) Luke Schenn, Anthony Beauvillier, and Cody Glass on Friday.
PHN’s Dan Kingerski put the trades in perspective, including a couple of bits of asset profiting by Dubas, but also did not deliver a high grade to the overall product.
