500 Goals? Penguins Try To Digest It As Crosby Gets Close (+)

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Danton Heinen has only been a teammate of star center Sidney Crosby for 38 games, but he’s about to be witness to one of the team captain’s major milestones, as Crosby is a hat trick away from 500 career goals.

Just the idea of that, the enormity, had Heinen, who has 53 career goals, tongue-tied Wednesday.

“Yeah, 500 goals,” Heinen said. “I mean, it’s, um, that’s hard to really fathom. Uh. That would be an unbelievable accomplishment. Everybody will be ready to congratulate him when it happens.”
