2022 NHL Draft
Penguins Lose Rust, Recall Vasily Ponomarev

The Pittsburgh Penguins have lost another first-line forward.
Right winger Bryan Rust has been placed on injured-reserve and will not be available when the Penguins play in Philadelphia Saturday evening.
There was no immediate word on the nature or severity of Rust’s injury.
The Penguins were without their top two centers, Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby, for their 3-2 victory against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden Friday night.
With Rust out of the mix, the Penguins have recalled forward Vasily Ponomarev from their farm team in Wilkes-Barre.
He has 11 goals and 16 assists in 31 games with the Baby Penguins this season.
The game against the Flyers will be the Penguins’ final one before the NHL’s break for the Four Nations tournament.
