Sheary, Crosby Reunited And It Feels…Pretty Good (PHN+)

Conor Sheary could probably be given a pass if he attempted to forget the nearly two seasons he spent with the Buffalo Sabres before returning to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

After all, the winger’s first two seasons in the NHL were spent as one of the young players who helped the Penguins win the Stanley Cup in 2016 and 2017.

And after he returned to his original NHL club Monday in a trade, he took up a familiar residence on Sidney Crosby’s flank on the top line for his first practice with his new/old club, which took place Tuesday in El Segundo, Calif.

However, Sheary appreciates the path his career has taken, and that includes his time with the struggling Sabres.
