Penguins’ Lineup for Exhibition Finale Loaded with Veterans

Pittsburgh Penguins, Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, Evgeni Malkin, NHL news

The Pittsburgh Penguins’ lineup for their preseason finale Friday night in Buffalo looks a lot like the one they’re expected to dress for the regular-season opener Tuesday against Chicago.

There will be a few conspicuous absences — most notably first-line left winger Jake Guentzel, who continues to recover from ankle surgery — but for the most part, the 20-man group that will be chosen from the 22-member roster the team announced Thursday will consist primarily of established NHL talents.

Here are the players from whom the Penguins’ lineup for the game, which is set to begin at 7 p.m., will be selected:

10 Drew O’Connor

17 Bryan Rust

19 Reilly Smith

20 Lars Eller

36 Colin White
