Florida Signs Jesse Puljujarvi, Puts Him on Waivers

Former Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jesse Puljujarvi has signed with the Florida Panthers, who promptly placed him on waivers.

He had been playing for Florida’s American Hockey League affiliate in Charlotte, where he has no goals and three assists in seven games.

His deal with the Panthers is a two-way agreement that pays him a pro-rated share of $775,000 when he’s on the NHL roster.

Puljujarvi had three goals and six assists in 26 games with the Penguins this season before being released from his contract with them Feb. 9.
