The Pittsburgh Penguins lines are still patchworked due to significant injuries to Evgeni Malkin, Kasperi Kapanen, and Brandon Tanev. The team has continued winning and scoring goals despite the absence of NHL regulars. However, there has been one glaring absence from the Penguins scoring sheet, and it costs the Penguins.

The Penguins fourth line has recently been on the ice for plenty of scoring chances and shots. However, those pucks were on the opponents’ sticks, not the Penguins.

Since Frederick Gaudreau suffered an injury on April 11, the Penguins fourth line has been M.I.A. The line has remained a startling record scratch when the Penguins are trying to roll four lines.
