Penguins Practice: After Strong Game, Brunicke Joins Main Group
After an impressive showing Tuesday night in the Pittsburgh Penguins’ preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings, defenseman Harrison Brunicke joined the main group for practice Wednesday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
Brunicke, a Penguins second-round pick in the June draft, seemed to have a breakout game, at least in terms of training camp. He earned praise all around.
Meanwhile, injured players Erik Karlsson, Alex Nedeljkovic, Blake Lizotte and Vasily Ponomarev did not practice with the main group. We hope to get an update on them from coach Mike Sullivan later.
This practice day is sandwiched between games Monday and Tuesday, then Thursday and Friday to conclude the preseason schedule.
