Pittsburgh Hockey Now created a little stir last week when we opined the Pittsburgh Penguins should make the Jesse Puljujarvi trade happen. The unexpected viral story raced around the globe. Yesterday, Puljujarvi signed with a team in his native Finland, but the deal does include an out. Colorado Hockey Now has another scoop in Denver, and this one isn’t so good for Colorado fans or the team. And there are questions about Connor McDavid’s health.

Is there a more snake-bitten franchise than Edmonton?

Puljujarvi signed in Finland but he could still play in the NHL this season…if either he or Edmonton GM Ken Holland buckles (Edmonton Journal)

Holland wins, either way. Puljuharvi’s trade value is almost nil. Holland is hoping some home cooking and a reset will improve the player. However, I don’t think Puljujarvi js being an entitled child, as some have suggested. I think he genuinely felt burned in Edmonton. Would you race back to a company which burned you, even if they fired the boss? Sometimes the grass seems too green on the other side, even when you know it really isn’t.

Max Domi said the Toronto fans aren’t even close to the passion of Montreal fans. Oh boy (Sportsnet)
