A Penguins Power Struggle? Uh, Not Really (+)

There has been a groundswell of speculation — not a syllable of which has been confirmed at this point — about an ongoing dispute between Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan and Kyle Dubas, the team’s president of hockey operations and general manager, over possible changes to the coaching staff.

Some have gone so far as to describe it as a “power struggle.”

It is not.

Regardless of how hostile (or civil) any disagreements between the two might be, they do not constitute a power struggle.
