There will be more than one option for the Pittsburgh Penguins to fill their need in goal. What seemed like a decision between gambling on Tristan Jarry and an uncertain free agent market has dramatically and swiftly changed in the last week.

John Gibson, Connor Hellebuyck, Carter Hart, and Juuse Saros entered the chat.

So, too, have pending UFA Adin Hill and Calgary Flames 1A netminder Dan Vladar, and we’re probably not done because the goalie merry-go-round has merely started the music. The movement has not yet commenced.

The Penguins will have an opportunity for one.

Based on Penguins president of hockey operations Kyle Dubas’s comments in his introductory presser on June 1, his decision on goalie Tristan Jarry should be well underway. Unlike Penguins ownership, Dubas is not a newbie and should already have a good idea of what will come on the UFA market, just as coach Mike Sullivan should know if he wants Jarry back.
