The newest United States citizen on the Pittsburgh Penguins roster could be the final player on what has been a long list of injured guys to return. That would be Saturday, center Evgeni Malkin hopes.

Malkin returned to practice Monday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, the first practice in weeks where every player participated after a slew of injuries. Malkin was the only one who wore a red non-contact jersey, but he said afterward he is aiming to play Saturday afternoon when Edmonton visits PPG Paints Arena. That means he would miss just one more game, Tuesday against Philadelphia.

That might be a little ahead of schedule from what was originally expected after Malkin sustained a lower-body injury in the second game of the season. He has missed 10 games so far.
