PHN Extra: Could Buyout Candidate Dubinsky Help Penguins?
Columbus Blue Jackets center Brandon Dubinsky clashed with his head coach John Tortorella, scored a career-low 16 points, and was involved in a personal incident in Las Vegas. Dubinsky also missed part of last season due to personal reasons. It was rock bottom for Dubinsky and the Blue Jackets could choose to cut ties.
Dubinsky had previously been a Tortorella favorite, but the center found himself on the fourth line wing by the time the Capitals rallied to oust the Blue Jackets in Round 1.
If Dubinsky becomes available should the Penguins take a look?
