Noel Acciari Goes Through On-Ice Workout
CRANBERRY — Pittsburgh Penguins center Noel Acciari, who is recovering from a concussion, had an on-ice workout at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex Monday morning.
He did drills for about a half-hours, then stayed on the ice for about 10 minutes while speaking with assistant coach Ty Hennes, who oversaw the session.
It was not immediately known whether Acciari will take part in the full-team practice, which was scheduled to begin about two hours after his individual session with Hennes started, or whether he will be available when the Penguins face Florida Wednesday at 7:38 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena.
Acciari, who plays in the middle of the fourth line and is a key penalty-killer, has missed the past two games after absorbing a blow to the head from Winnipeg defenseman Brenden Dillon last Tuesday.
Dillon subsequently was suspended for three games.
