Pittsburgh Penguins post-game chat with PHN Editor-in-Chief Dan Kingerski. The Penguins led the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 in the third period, though the style of play was anything but conservative or tight. Sidney Crosby scored the final two goals to complete the hat trick, and the Penguins pulled away for a 5-2 win.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan pulled backup goalie Casey DeSmith after the first period. Tristan Jarry stopped all 15 shots he faced for the win.

Midway through the third period, Columbus appeared to score the tying goal as their power play expired. However, the goal did not survive the Penguins coach’s challenge. Officials overturned because Columbus was offside.
