Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jake Guentzel

Hey, check this out. PHN might have come up with a meme involving Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jake Guentzel. No, not Jake’s Shakes, although that’s a clever promotion. Not Shake ‘n’ Jake.

Try this one on: Playoff Jake.

It fits, don’t you think? The top-line winger has mostly torn it up in the playoffs since he arrived in the NHL, and going into Game 3 of the Penguins’ first-round playoff series against the New York Rangers on Saturday, Guentzel has half of the team’s six goals.

So PHN asked Penguins coach Mike Sullivan on Friday how he would define Playoff Jake. As far as we know, that was the first use of that descriptive phrase.
