With the abysmal Penguins penalty kill hovering around 73%, the power play is both tasked with gaining momentum and balancing the special team deficit. Before facing the Washington Capitals on Wednesday, the Penguins’ power play is at 20%, which is 20th in the NHL. The penalty kill has improved to 26th.
