Published

It’s a surprising twist, but Pittsburgh Penguins Metro Division rival New York Rangers could be buyers at the trade deadline in order to make their star happy. Team USA nearly made a historic comeback and the Penguins keep rolling. Happy Steelers Sunday!

We’ll start with Team USA and the non-existent coverage which the World Juniors are receiving in the US. Team Sweden led 4-0 into the third period but Team USA forced overtime. USA will play Finland on Monday.

Daniel Sprong scored a power-play goal to end a five-game goalless drought but Anaheim still lost (NHL.com)

Sprong had one assist in the past five games but was on the Ducks top line, Saturday. He’ll need to pop a few more at even strength to keep his top line spot but wow, that shot. Watch the highlights–the puck isn’t visible after he shot it.

I’m also working on a couple columns this morning–but I’m also in the hellish process of moving today and tomorrow. So, hopefully I’ll be able to deliver Matt Murray and Phil Kessel columns today and tomorrow…

I do have a funny feeling, the Steelers season won’t end today.
