Penguins Release Pre-Season Schedule, Open at Penn State Pegula Ice

Mark your calendars for a look at the potentially new, potentially old, or potentially same Pittsburgh Penguins. The 2019-20 Penguins pre-season schedule was released by the team Tuesday morning.
The first of six pre-season games will be Monday, September 16 against the Buffalo Sabres at Penn State University’s Pegula Ice Arena. The Pegula family owns Buffalo and are large alumni donors to the school. It is the second time in three seasons the Penguins will play a pre-season game at Penn State.
The Penguins open their home pre-season schedule on Thursday, Sept. 19 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Penguins will also play back-back to back games that weekend in Columbus on Saturday, and Sunday they will play the Detroit Red Wings in Detroit.
The final pre-season games will be Sept. 25 at home against Detroit, then Sept. 28 at home against Buffalo. The Saturday game with the Sabres will be the ninth annual, “Free Game for Kids.”
Pre-season TV and radio schedules will be released at a later time.
