Who’ll Have Extra Pressure to Perform During Rookie Camp?
Twenty-five players are scheduled to participate in the Pittsburgh Penguins’ rookie camp, which will get underway Thursday at UPMC Sports Complex.
Most of them are expected to take part in the regular training camp that will follow a week later.
None, at this point, are expected to be on the major-league roster when the Penguins open the regular season Oct. 13 against Arizona at PPG Paints Arena.
Nonetheless, each of the rookie-camp participants will have something to prove during the four days of drills in Cranberry and the game against a squad of Boston prospects next Saturday in Buffalo.
