Dan on 93-7 the Fan: The Penguins Sale & New Owners

PHN Editor-in-Chief Dan Kingerski joined Josh Roundtree on 93-7 the Fan. Saturday morning, the pair discussed the pending Pittsburgh Penguins sale and what type of owners the Fenway Group might become.

Dan pulled from past actions of the Fenway Group and how colleagues in Boston who have covered Fenway Group view them.

“They like a dynamic dynamic,” Kingerski said.

The Fenway Group is worth $7 billion and certainly are not the charlatans who tried to purchase the Penguins in the early days of the Lemieux Group ownership, including Jim Balsillie and Boots Delbaggio.

Among the Fenway Group investors are NBA star, LeBron James and Maverick Carter. The group owns the Boston Red Sox, NESN sports network, Liverpool of the English Premier League, and Roush Fenway Racing in Nascar, among other holdings.
