Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby has been named the NHL’s No. 1 star of the week for the period that ended Sunday.

He had 11 points in four games, including 10 during the three-game road trip that ended with a 5-3 victory in Chicago Sunday. That included four-point efforts in Minnesota last Thursday and another four-pointer against the Blackhawks, sandwiching a two-assist performance in Winnipeg Saturday.

St. Louis left winger Pavel Buchnevich was the league’s No. 2 star and Seattle goalie Martin Jones was No. 3.

Sidney Crosby also was honored as the NHL’s first star after the first week of the season.

I criticized Sid then he goes and gets NHLs No.1 star of the week. I’ll wash that down with a big glass of “I need to shut the fu@k up”.

Yea man, he has been through slumps before. He always pulls out of it. So does the team. Seriously no reason to think that will change any time soon.

Bob Errey said the Penguins are 9-1 in games after Crosby is minus-4, and Crosby had more than a point per game in the following games. It was inevitable, but the bark was earned.

Yeah. Looked horrible against Buf and Mtl and was rightly called out.
Now he is playing like the Superstar we all know and Love.
Congrats Sid. The Goal last night was pure will. Memories of 66!

Every time he hits the ice I only watch him play! Class act as well. Right up there with Roberto Clemente! Scoring title would be great! Plays good defense as well! Pittsburgh needs a super star like him and Hayward as well! Hopefully years to go for him! Go Pens!

A joy to watch him play, and share the wealth with everyone else! Imagine if he was a selfish player, how many points, etc., he would have!
