Bourque, Armstrong Among Ex-Penguins Added to TV Crew

Four Pittsburgh Penguins alumni have been added to the SportsNet Pittsburgh crew that will handle telecasts during the coming season.
They include:
*** Colby Armstrong, who will be an in-game color and studio analyst;
*** Phil Bourque, who will be an in-game color analyst. Bourque also will retain his position as analyst on radio broadcasts, so he will do some games on TV, others on radio;
*** Jay Caufield, who will continue to serve as studio analyst, a role he has held on Penguins telecasts since 2005;
*** Mike Rupp who, like Armstrong, will be an in-game color and studio analyst. He has been a studio analyst on Penguins telecasts since 2017.
The three in-game analysts will serve on a rotating basis.
Earlier, former radio play-by-play man Josh Getzoff was named to handle those duties on TV. Longtime rink-side reporter Dan Potash was moved into a studio role and replaced at games by Hailey Hunter.
A release from SportsNet Pittsburgh said that additional game and studio analysts will be announced at a future date.
Thet netowrk’s first telecast of the year will be Oct. 2, when the Pittsburgh Penguins will meet Ottawa in an exhibition game in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

What about Rob King, is he still around?
I had that same question!
I like it, def couldn’t have picked a better rotation than the old 29er, Army, and Rupper for in game analysts.
Rob King???
The guy is one of the best in the business.
Hey Josh, congrats on the promotion. Just remember, you’re announcing on TELEVISION. We don’t need you to tell us the score, or the time remaining, or anything else we can SEE. Don’t be another Kenny Albert!!
Relax Francis!
None as good as Bob Errey.
Hire Rob King!
