Pittsburgh Penguins TV schedule

The Pittsburgh Penguins 2022-23 broadcast schedule was announced by the NHL and its network rightsholders, ESPN and Turner Sports, on Wednesday. The Penguins will appear nationally 15 times.

There’s not yet been a mention of exclusive games on Hulu or ESPN+.

The first national telecast is on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The Penguins face the Boston Bruins on ESPN and ESPN+ at PPG Paints Arena. The puck drop is 8 p.m.

The Penguins’ national tally includes two games on ESPN, six on ABC, and seven on TNT. No team will appear on more nationally televised TNT broadcasts than the Penguins.

For the second-straight season, 69 of the Penguins’ 82 regular-season games will be on Pittsburgh’s local regional rights holder, AT&T SportsNet. Steve Mears will return for his sixth season as the play-by-play broadcaster, working alongside color commentator Bob Errey and reporter Dan Potash.

Two games this season – Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Buffalo and Wednesday, Dec. 28 versus Detroit – can be seen in the local Pittsburgh area on AT&T SportsNet and nationally on TNT.

AT&T SportsNet begins its coverage of the 2022-23 regular-season campaign with the team’s home opener on Thursday, Oct. 13, against the Arizona Coyotes at PPG Paints Arena. Fans can listen to all Penguins games on the radio on the club’s flagship station, 105.9 ‘The X’ and the Penguins Radio Network.
